Home : The
Locanda's Rooms
|
There are 4 rooms.
All of them have very comfortable beds, sommier, and
vintage furnishings, some of which are
family memorabilia, others chosen with
care at local shops.
All the rooms are spacious, furnished
with simplicity and good taste and with
an eye for detail.
So many windows produce quite an array
of light, but the classic Luccan sun
blinds create a delicate, soft shade.
From all the windows you can see a relaxed
view of the countryside and the quaint
barn. Every room has a private bath equipped
with a fabulous shower.
Every room possesses something truly
unique.

The Pinocchio Room,
the little coffee cups,
Carla’s armoire, and
the tiny window.
The room is tinted
in shades of green
with two armchairs
and a desk. There is
a bookcase hewn from
a lovely niche in the
wall. A little glass
English ’Globe’ contains
a small collection
of old little coffee
cups, and there’s something
else… an old poster
of the film ‘Pinocchio’
hangs on the wall.
And… the little window
defies description…
it must be seen.

The rocking chair
Room, the armoire that
‘stepped’ through the
window.
This room is tinted
in hues of blue with
the aforementioned
comfortable beds and
luxurious bath.
The bookshelf here
is a lovely étagère from
the 30’s.
Three beautiful windows
with lintels of brick
are visible. A gentle
flowing cross-breeze
created by the windows.
The rocking chair sits
in the middle of the
room… perfect for napping.
A third bed can be
added easily.

Corallina’s Room with
amusing armchairs,
Lucia’s armoire, and
the mirror of princesses’.
The same outlay as
the other rooms… but
this one is very romantic
thanks to the rose-colored
shat of the walls.

Smeraldina’s Room,
otherwise known as
the ‘puntone’ Room
with grandma’s sewing
machine and Irma’s
armchairs.
This room is the largest.
The tones are green-aqua-turquoise,
a sweet emerald-green…
This room has an enchanting
view overlooking the
countryside. You can
also arrange for a
third bed.
N.B. The ‘puntone’
is the large roof-beam
that supports the corner
part of the roof.
